"Give me a man who lives by the Bible and I'll give you a woman who follows him!"

Dear Everyone! :)

I thought to myself, I have no idea what happened this week, nothing really did happen, but then I looked in my journal and a lot happened. Like a lot a lot!

On Monday we filled up our "Spirit Jar" -- as we listen to the spirit each day, we get to put a gum ball in the jar and when it's full we go out for a treat. -- so on Tuesday we went to "Cakes and all things Yummy", well bad idea for Sister Loosle because if y'all know me, you'll understand, but I was good and only bought one cupcake. The boys would love this place, the cupcakes are HUGE! I'll have to send pictures when I get on a computer this week or next.

Soooooo....funny story.... I kind of broke my umbrella, okay not kind of, I really broke it. Smart me over here decided it'd be a good idea to just hang my umbrella from my handlebars while I was biking, well this was Wednesday. And we start biking after district meeting (where we gave to car to the elders), and we get maybe 1000 feet, maybe. And all of the sudden something flys off my bike and almost hits Sister Mouritsen behind me. I stop because I know exactly what it is. Well I take a look at what's left of my umbrella on my bike and throw every thing down and say "I quit!" But Sister Mouritsen doesn't take that as an answer. So we talk for a while and then continue onto our day. Well that night she asks me if I want to keep it, or if she can use the fabric. By this time we've tried to see if we can fix it and we can't. The umbrella part broke off of the handle. So we had a small umbrella and a pointing stick. Sister Mouritsen then proceeds to take apart the rest of the umbrella, who knows what she'll use it for. But I got some of the fabric for memories.

Something else amazing that happened this week was ... Drum roll please! ... Leighann got baptized! :) it was so amazing! She bore her testimony at the baptism and it was so beautiful. The spirit was so strong at the baptism and all her family was there to support her. I cannot wait to come back here in 10 or so years when she gets married in the temple. It will be such a glorious day.

Sacrament Meeting was so good on Sunday! Every talk was perfect! And then Sunday school and Relief Society were great as well! The talks were on Spiritually self-reliance and Spiritual instructors. Then in Relief Society (where my subject comes in) we talked about "The Moral Force of Women" by D. Todd Christofferson. We were talking about famine and masculine qualities and how men don't open doors or anything like that anymore and one of the women shared a story. She said that she was talking to a man once and they were talking about how men don't stand up to their role in the Bible and he said that she was too head strong and would let a man be the head of the household. So she said, "Give me a man who lives by the Bible and I'll give you a woman who follows him." I found that so true. I don't know if I explained that well, but that's okay! :)

Memorial Day was good, we worked at the storehouse and biked a lot to find the elect! :) my legs still hurt, but it's okay. Yesterday was also a very sad day for me, because it was my 11 month mark. Sweeties, don't waste a minute! This is going by way to fast and I can't seem to slow it down. But I love you all! And hope your having a fabulous week! :)

Who knows...

Hello Family and Friends! :)

This week has been so crazy! How's it been for y'all?

Leighann is getting baptized on Saturday! :) last Monday we taught her the Word of Wisdom on Facebook, which was great! She committed to live it and said she'd tell God she's going to live it too! Shes so great! :)

So on Tuesday we biked a lot and stopped at Harris Teader for a snack and bathroom break. Well I got apples, cheese, and caramel. And made the comment at cheese and aramel don't really go together. Well Sister Mouritsen said I wasn't eating it right, and that I was suppose to dip the cheese in the caramel. Well I told her to try it. And she did! She said it wasn't too bad, so I tried it too. It was alright, not terrible, but yeah.

We also met Vicky. She's great! We taught her twice this week and are teaching her tonight.

On Wednesday we had a Mission conference in Winsten-Salem with President and Sister Craven. It was so fantastic! Although I don't have my notes from it, so you'll have to ask my later what I learned!

When we went back to see Vicky, she said she was reading the Book of Mormon because "God told me to read it." Gah! Yes He did! :) she's so great!

Sister Mouritsen gave a talk in sacrament meeting and it was fantastic!

Sorry this weeks letter is short! I love y'all! :)

Love,
Sister Loosle

Happy Belated Mothers Day!!

Dear Everyone!

It was great to see my family yesterday! I hope all missionaries and missionary moms had a good time talking yesterday!

Monday was so nice! We decided to go shopping down town, it was interesting, because down town is a street, but that's okay! It was still fun! We went to the Malasky's for dinner and had Mexican for Cinco de Mayo! (Pictures to follow). That night we also had a lesson with Leighann. She is preparing to be baptized on May 24th! We taught her about Prayer and Scripture Study.

Tuesday - Miracle Day! Back up to April 16th, Sister Reading and I knocked on a man named RV's door. He was sad that day because he just got news his dog, Junie, wasn't going to make it. They work for the police and special forces to find people, pets, and things. That day we said a prayer for him and Junie and then left, never thinking about it again. Well on Monday the Colfax Sisters tell me that RV went to church on Sunday trying to find us. He gave them his card so we could call him. We also got a referral from Church Headquarters for him on Monday night.

So we went to go see him. Apparently an hour after we left his house on April 16th he got another call from the vet saying Junie was going to make it. He went through every possible way to try and get back in contact with us. Including calling Salt Lake. But we got the message. Although he does not want to learn more about the church, it is a testimony to me that God is in the details of our lives and is helping all.

Tuesday night we saw Sister Shepard and Eddie with Sister Hunter. Both were great lessons.

Wednesday we went on exchanges. I went to High Point with Sister Neilson and Sister Mouritsen stayed in Kernersville with Sister Nelson. The STLs are amazing missionaries and I always learn so much from them. While I was in High Point the sisters here found 5 new investigators!

Friday was Zone Meeting and President and Sister Craven were at Zone Meeting! It was really good! I learned so much about prayer and the spirit. We saw Leighann again this time with Lauren, who is her age. Which I think was really good.

I started a new journal this week! I hope I finish this one on the last day of my mission!

Interviews were on Saturday. After we went out to work, Sister Mouritsens bike lock wouldn't open, so her bike was stuck to the pole! So we walked and talked to people for a bit, then tried again and it worked!

Oh I forgot! On Friday and Saturday we got stuck in rain storms while biking home. It was fun! And a little scary! But we're okay!

Sunday Leighann came to church! It was so fantastic! I also got to Skype my family of course! All is well!

Today were just going to relax which will be nice! :)

I love y'all!

Love,
Sister Loosle

Happy Ciñco de Mayo!

Dear Family and Friends!

Well transfers were this week. Emotional time, but good too. Sister Mourtisen is my new companion. She's from South Jordan, Utah and has been out for just over a year (the real just over a year).

This week has also been full of miracles. We got to see the Whitfields on Monday night, because Sister Reading was leaving. But it was still good.

Elder Ebert is in Kernersville! I served with him in Burlington a while ago.

We met Peggy this week. She's a sweet old lady who is going into surgery this week, but hopefully we'll see her afterward on Wednesday or Thursday. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she said she'd read it!

On Friday after District Meeting, we went to an area. A man was mowing his grass, so we moved our car from where we were going to park it. When we came over to his house again, he stopped his lawnmower and started talking with us. Well come to find out he works with two members of the church and last week they gave him a Book of Mormon! We talked to him more about the Book of Mormon, where it came from, went through the pictures with him, etc. and he seemed more interested. He said we could come back sometime and talk to him about what he's reading. The Lord is really in everyone's lives. And He is preparing the way!

Saturday Kernersville had a "Spring Folly". It's a carnival that the whole town goes too. It was cute and looked fun. We did some street contacting there, handed out a lot of pass along cards.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Star Wars Day yesterday! And is having a great Cinco de Mayo!

I love and miss you all!
